Rosalie and Jo collaborating to make posters for Tarot Readings and The Stone of Wisdom at Inland Art Festival
Rosalie Schweiker is a conceptual artist who uses social exchanges such as conversations, make-believe and jokes to find new functions for art in the everyday. Inherent in the work is a playful humour and a focus on the communicative, rather than the material aspects of art. Rosalie’s work is often realised in collaborations which are based on long-term friendships and defy common notions of authorship and outcomes.
Rosalie Schweiker is a South German artist working in South London. After training as an osteopath, she studied Fine Art at Dartington College of Arts and the University of the Arts London. Since 2005 she has been collaborating with Maria Guggenbichler, most recently on an exhibition for OUTPOST Norwich.
Rosalie is an ARTS ADMIN bursary artist, received a Grizedale Artist Re-Orientation Award and holds a three-year studio bursary from Space Station Sixty-Five.
Jo Waterhouse is a designer and artist who uses traditional printmaking techniques to create unique products. Her work often strays into illustration and performance. She finds friends, customers and collaborators through her shop, market stall and blog.
