Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change

The Elms, Green Lane

Thursday and Friday 12-2pm

Cn4c support people by providing high quality and accessible services right in the heart of the community; helping people to break free from the cycle of poverty and empowering them to ‘do it for themselves’.

Come along and try your hand at glass painting, felt making and mosaic. You can make a card, a mirrored tile and a brooch or 3d felt piece. Also, take a tour of the beautiful building, admire the art installations and be inspired to get involved with future projects. Cn4c offers lots of different courses, many of which are art based and can lead to qualifications. Why not drop in and see if you would like to sign up? (many courses are free, depending on individual  circumstances)

Open Studios at Krowji

Lou Johns – Studio W08

Open on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th Sep, 10am – 4pm

Artist Louise Johns trained in graphic design in Devon and London before returning to her Cornish roots to pursue her artistic career.Perhaps it was that training which led Louise to the strong but simple images she uses in her linoprints.

Jacob Lee – Studio W04b

Open on Sunday 28th Sep, 10am – 5pm

Through constellations of ornamental gesture Jacob engages in issues concerning the stigmatisation of cultural symbols. Drawing narrative from his strained relationship with Cornwall, he employs a vast array of iconographic language spanning from his Cornish heritage through to contemporary photography and graffiti.

Siobhan Purdy – Studio W03b

Open on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th Sep, 11am – 4pm

Siobhan has an array of fine art paintings in an Impressionist style that involves storytelling from her own life experiences. Her paintings have a dreamy quality that leaves you with a sense of calm and wonder.

Vivienne Orchard – Studio W29d

Open on Saturday 27th Sep, 11am – 4pm

Vivienne uses an eclectic mix of genres in her artwork to include seascapes, landscapes, silhouettes, abstracts and portraits. She has had exhibitions in St Ives, Falmouth and Redruth. Vivienne uses oils, acrylics, mixed media and recycled stained glass to form her artwork.

Agnieszka Niesluchowska – Studio W29b

Open on Saturday 27th Sep, 11am – 4pm

My forms are hand built slabs constructed. I like them to be very organic with strongly textured surfaces. It’s great fun to build my forms, the part I enjoy the most is decorating them with slips, oxides, glazes and even sand from Cornish river.

The Melting Pot Cafe

Open Thursday until Sunday, 10am – 4pm

The Melting Pot will be open throughout this four day festival serving delicious cakes & treats, excellent coffee, teas & soft drinks and will be operating a fully licensed bar throughout the day.
