The Garden

The Garden was both centre point and starting point for The Future Project. The place to come for more festival information. We wanted to create a space that set the tone, shifted perspectives and replanted expectations. Somewhere special to be in, that allows you to shake off the everyday and set off on your festival adventure to discover something else entirely.

The Garden was led by Sue Hill, Associate Director of Wildworks. For two months before the festival we were growing, gathering and gardening, working with local gardeners and allotment holders to learn new skills, eat and drink together and think about the creation of such a space.

During the festival, The Garden operated a series of exchanges; from talks and performances to a seeds-for-wisdom swapshop.
